William Edwin Griggs

William Edwin Griggs was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma accepting Christ early in life at Greater Union Baptist Church. He attended public schools in Tulsa, graduating from Booker T. Washington H.S. After graduating high school, he attended Oklahoma University. William wanted to see other parts of the United States. For a while, he lived in Colorado, Missouri and Washington State. William eventually married and moved back to Tulsa. William leaves the following family members: wife, Susan Griggs, children Justin "Dion", Stephanie Paige, and Nicholas "Jaylan." Sisters, Earlene (Lee's Summit, MO) and Ruth (James-Woodstock, GA). He also leaves nieces Lisa (Shawn -K.C., MO), JaMeece (James-Tulsa), Jeana (Tulsa), Yvette (Guy-Stillwater) Jenifer (Woodstock, GA), Adrienne and Allison (Myrtle Beach, SC) Nephews, Jimmy (Tracy-Arroyo Grande, CA), Curtis "J.R." (Elizabeth-Tulsa), Dontay (TX), and Christian (Grand Prairie, TX). Also, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Parents, William E. and Blanche Griggs, and brothers, Curtis, Nathaniel, Jimmy, and Joseph, Paternal Grandparents (Griggs) and Maternal Grand Parents (Williams) and nephew Darrell all preceded him in death.
