Teresa Dawn
Barboa
Aug 8, 1964 — Sep 16, 2026
Harrah, Oklahoma
Teresa Dawn Barboa was born on August 8, 1964, in Dayton, Ohio, to William Dennis Jr. and Barbara (Potts) Dennis. She passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, in Harrah, Oklahoma.
Teresa was a woman with a heart of gold. Although she could sometimes have a tough exterior, those who knew her best knew how deeply she cared for others. She had an incredible gift for making people feel welcome, supported, and cared for. Teresa loved people and had a natural desire to help others—often going above and beyond what was expected of her. If someone was going through a difficult time or simply needed a place to go, Teresa was the kind of person who would open her home and her heart without hesitation.
Known affectionately as “Mama T,” Teresa seemed to become the mother of every group she was part of, whether she was at work or simply spending time with friends and family. She had a way of keeping everyone in line while making sure everyone felt cared for. Teresa was never afraid to call a spade a spade, and her honesty was part of what made her so memorable. She got along with everyone and had an unmistakable ability to find the humor and quirkiness in nearly every situation. Her dry sense of humor, quick wit, and playful banter could make just about anyone laugh.
Teresa grew up moving frequently, as her father’s career required the family to travel. Those years gave her the opportunity to experience many different places and meet many different people. She graduated from Antioch High School in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1982.
Throughout her career, Teresa worked primarily in clerical and legal settings, including positions as a legal secretary, in data processing, and most recently in a law office. She was known for being hardworking and especially talented with typing and administrative work.
Outside of work, Teresa was a creative soul who loved crafting. She particularly enjoyed diamond art and took great pleasure in creating things with her own hands. She also had a deep love for animals. Her beloved companion, Jasper, was by her side for many years. To Teresa, Jasper was far more than a pet—he was her child and was spoiled accordingly. He was a beloved, energetic lap dog who held a very special place in her heart.
Family was incredibly important to Teresa, and she took great pride in being “Aunt T” to her niece, Taylor. She cherished her time with Taylor and the family she loved so dearly.
Teresa will be remembered for her generous spirit, hard-working nature, infectious humor, and the genuine care she showed to others. She had a special way of making people laugh, opening her home to those in need, and making sure the people around her knew they were cared for. Her presence brought warmth, laughter, and a little bit of wonderfully honest chaos wherever she went.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
She is survived by her sister, Trina, and her husband, David; her niece, Taylor; her great-niece, Olivia; her significant other, Vince Rogers; and a host of friends who will miss her dearly.
Teresa leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, generosity, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
