Edmond

Robert “Rob” Lee Raasch, 55, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on July 27, 2025.

Rob was born on September 9, 1969, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Gary and Susan (Gelino) Raasch. He was raised in Claremore, OK, and graduated as salutatorian from Oologah High School in 1987. A gifted speaker, Rob was a state champion in cross- examination debate. He earned a degree in Economics from Oklahoma State University in 1991, followed by both a Master’s in Environmental Engineering and a Juris Doctor of Law from Washington University in St. Louis in 1994.

During his third year of law school, Rob interned with Congressman Mike Synar’s Oversight Subcommittee—an experience that sparked a lifelong passion for public policy. After passing both the D.C. and Oklahoma bar exams, he began his career in Washington, D.C. as Senior Policy Manager for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where he collaborated closely with Congressman Pete Sessions of Texas on several successful policy initiatives. Rob later transitioned into the private sector, working as Managing Director in sales and IT management with Keane, and eventually as an independent contractor.

In 2001, Rob returned to Oklahoma and settled in Muskogee to be closer to family. He continued his work as an independent contractor, managed an electronic health records company, and took on roles in business development, lobbying, and political consulting.

Rob was a proud member of Leadership Oklahoma Class XXI and actively served in various civic and governmental organizations, including: Board of Directors, Leadership Oklahoma (2009-2013), Board of Directors, Muskogee Chamber of Commerce (2007- 2009), Chairman, High Tech Task Force, Muskogee Development (2006-2008), Member, Muskogee Lions Club (2006-2010), Chairman, Muskogee County Republicans (2017-2018).

Rob lived life to the fullest and deeply valued time spent with family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberley Graham-Raasch of Edmond; daughter Riley Chorette (Zachariah) of Tulsa; stepsons Ethan Graham and Aaron Bandy of Edmond; parents Gary and Susan Raasch of Wake Forest, NC; brother Dr. Eric Raasch (Melissa), niece, Ally Raasch, and nephew, Alex Raasch all of Cary, NC; as well as a host of extended family members and dear friends who loved him deeply.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church, 11600 N Council Rd, Oklahoma City, OK.
