Phillip Brand Sr.

Phillip Lynn Brand Sr., 84, Moore, OK, passed from this life on the morning of January 22, 2026 at the age of 84. He was born December 10, 1941, in Oklahoma City, OK to Paul and Frances Brand.

Phillip was a lifelong Oklahoma City resident, graduating from Capitol Hill High School, class of 1960. He married Karen Sue Grissom in 1963. They were blessed with four children; three sons, Rodney, Phillip Jr., Michael and a daughter, Angela. He held several jobs as an auto mechanic before pivoting to jobs in general aviation. He worked at Aero Commander, Downtown Airpark, Air Craftsman and finally finished his aviation career as a jet engine inspector at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, retiring in 1998. Phillip’s hobbies included working on his 1953 Chevy, treasure hunting and reading history and science- fiction books.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Brand, infant son, Rodney Brand, mother, Frances Brand, first wife, Karen Brand, son, Michael Brand, sister, Martha Miller, brother Robert Brand and nephew Randy Brand. He is survived by his son, Phillip Brand Jr and his wife, Michele, daughter, Angela Kirkpatrick-Selby, granddaughters Willow, Raven, Lily and grandson, Drake as well as wife Sherry, of the home. A private memorial service will be held in the near future.
