Michael Gerald Mcbride

Michael ‘Mike” Gerald McBride (July 7, 1946-August 24, 2023) age 77, passed away at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Bidwell, Ohio and was a Vietnam veteran. After his honorable discharge, he worked as a carpenter. He worked hard to provide for his family and moved his family to California to pursue better opportunities to flourish as the skilled carpenter that he was. He later moved to Checotah, Oklahoma when he reached retirement age. 

He had a great love for cars and car shows that he enjoyed attending with friends and family whenever possible. He was always smiling and joking around and brought many smiles and laughter to many. Always missed, always in our hearts, but never forgotten. 

He is survived by his daughter, Heidi McBride, two sisters, Judy (Scott) Bailey, Kay (Jack) Easton, grandson Nathan Osborne, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceding him in death are his parents Willis & Hannah McBride, four sisters, Eleanor (Lee) Nolan, Jane & Tony Werry, Virginia (Richard) Tipton, Frances (Harold) Hayes, three brothers, Bill (Betty) McBride, Patric (Sherry) McBride, Jim McBride & Joyce Robie, son, Mickey “Mick” (Chanda) McBride and one granddaughter Sydney. 

Services in his memory will be announced when dates and times are made available.
