Lucille Handy Hudson

Lucille Handy Hudson died peacefully at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City on Sunday, October 27th at 2:45 am at the age of 84. Lucille was born on January 22, 1935, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma to Robert Sr. "Horace" and Eunice Handy. She was the 6 of 10 children. She graduated from Booker T. Washington School in 1953 and attended and graduated from secretarial school in Topeka, Kansas the next year and started working for the Federal Government as a clerk typist. She married and traveled and lived in many foreign countries like Morocco, England, and Japan. In 1963 she welcomed Pamala into the family. In 1994 she married Ronald "Buddy" Hudson and spent many happy years as his companion in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, until his death. Lucille received the Lord at an early age and was a member of St. Mark A.M.E in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents Robert Sr. "Horace" and Eunice Handy; Husband Ronald "Buddy Hudson; sisters: Juanita Handy Harris, Mildred Handy Wright and Maxine Handy McDaniel and brothers: Richard Handy, Robert Handy, Jr. and Roy Leo Handy. Lucille leaves to cherish her memory her only child Pamala Springsteen Griffis of Dallas, Texas, Sister Connie Harris of Dallas, Texas, brothers Raymond Handy of Kansas City, Missouri and Ron Dale Handy of Denver, Colorado. She also survived by loving grandchildren Rachel Springsteen, Jordon (Maria) Springsteen all of Dallas, Texas who will keep her memories alive with the great-grandchildren: Isaiah Jace Springsteen, Raquel Frances and Ryanne Jean Springsteen.   Lucille also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends from Kingfisher, Oklahoma, El Reno, Oklahoma and Dallas, Texas to mourn her passing.
