Jacqueline Eileen Shelton was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 1, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer.
Jacqueline, or “Jackie” as she was affectionately known, was born on November 16, 1961, to Jackson and Doris Harrell in Hampton, Virginia. She attended school in Glouster until the ninth grade, when her family moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma. During her senior year of high school, she met the love of her life, Ron Shelton. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with four children: Christopher, Michael, Robert, and Jessica.
Throughout her professional life, Jackie worked in customer service and the food service industry. Those who worked alongside her or were served by her often said that her job was never just about the work. She had a special gift for making people feel loved and valued, offering genuine smiles, warm laughter, and heartfelt hugs that left lasting impressions.
Jackie carried many titles in her life—wife, mother, sister, cousin, friend, and coworker—but none compared to her favorite: Christian. She loved reading and studying her Bible and found great joy in her faith. While her family grieves her loss, they rejoice in knowing she is exactly where she always longed to be—with Jesus.
Jackie is survived by her devoted husband, Ron Shelton of Stillwater, Oklahoma; her four children: Christopher and Kaylee Shelton of Ness City, Kansas; Michael and Amy Shelton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Robert and Nicki Shelton of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Jessica Shelton of Russell, Kansas; seven cherished grandchildren; three brothers; and one sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Doris Harrell, and her brother, Eric Harrell.
The family is deeply grateful for the love and support shown during this time. Jackie will be laid to rest at Shelton Cemetery in Shamrock, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Jackie’s memory by reading your Bible and sharing a hug, laughter, and love with someone who may need it.
