George Sheridan Jr.

George Sheridan Jr. was born to George Sheridan and Emma Sheridan in Alex, OK on December 18, 1931. George is survived by his wife Diane Alice and his children: Michael Dale, Janice Lee, Paula Rose, George III., LaDonna Rene and Grandchildren Stetson, Jake, Russell, George, Jordan, Jasmine, Kyra, Aaliyah, Lilly Michael, Kyle, and Eric. His family settled in Haskell, Oklahoma where he grew up. George was a natural baseball player and even played with a semipro team until they were shocked to find out he was only 15 years old. He joined the Army National Guard in 1948. His unit was soon activated and they were sent to Korea. George was honorably discharged from the Army in 1966. In 1958 George met Diane while he was stationed in New York and both fell madly in love with each other they were married on September 21, 1960. In 1966 Diane was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witness. Shortly after this George began to study the Bible and was baptized 5 years later on July 30, 1971, George learned to read with the help of a wonderful brother, Floyd Flinchum, who shared Georges passion for the outdoors. George was always completely devoted to his children and grandchildren, it was apparent to anyone who knew George that he deeply loved them and was loved by them all. George loved Jehovah. For many years he served as a ministerial servant handling many responsibilities within the congregation. No job was to small.
