Claudette Marie Yates

September 2, 1955 — October 7, 2021

Claudette Marie (Innis) Yates died peacefully at The Hillcrest Medical Center on Saturday, October 2, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the young age of 66. Claudette yearned for the eternal peace and happiness she found when she crossed the Gates of Gold along with the Heavenly Homecoming she longed for with the love of her life, Robby, her parents, and siblings welcoming her with open arms. It is in knowing that, where her children and family find peace and will celebrate her life! Claudette is survived by her three children that she loved and was always proud of; daughter Misha (Justin) Tolbert of Sand Springs, OK, son Cody (Katy) Innis of Jenks, OK, and son Barrett (Meredith) Yates of Claremore, OK; six grandchildren that brought her so much joy, Emma Tolbert, Aubree Tolbert, Carter Innis, Graham Yates, Blake Yates, and Lanie Yates; siblings that she loved to constantly keep on their toes at all times, sister Dorothy (Jerry) Sallee of Sapulpa, OK and brother Ruben (Patricia) Innis Jr. of Tulsa, OK and two nieces she adored and spent a lot of time with before she went on to have her own children, Stacey (Fred) Murphy of Tulsa, OK and Andie Bradshaw of Tulsa, OK as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert Roddis Yates, her mother who was her everything Joann (Meisenbacher) Innis, a father that was the absolute orneriest Ruben Innis, older brother Donald Lee, and older sister Joanna Sue both of whom she didn't have the opportunity to meet. Claudette was born on September 2, 1955, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Ruben and Joann Innis. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1973. She married Robert Yates, after having been together for 10 years prior, in 1991. Together they resided in Sand Springs, OK for most of their married life. She and her husband, Robby, could always be seen together never far from each other until his death in 2019 which left her truly heartbroken. Claudette was a homemaker with a little bit of spice, she always had an itch to do more with big dreams. She loved to be out on the lake fishing, skiing, camping, or just hanging out on the boat and/or beachside. She loved to be out in the sun getting a tan, the sunshine never made anyone happier than it did her! Claudette had an amazing talent in floral arrangement design, she could take driftwood, feathers, and anything floral and make the prettiest masterpiece. In her youth and younger adult years she was an amazing softball player, she loved to be out on the field always playing! Claudette will be greatly missed! Her joy for life will live on through her children and their children. We find great peace in knowing our mother is healed from all turmoil and sickness and is whole again with her Lord and Savior. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 16th at 12:00 pm located at Keystone State Park: Lake Country Road at site and table #1, with Larry Tolbert officiating. "It's my first night in Heaven and the chains are gone, it is so good to see my family it's been too long. My body is healed from head to toe, saved by Jesus Christ, my body and soul!" ~ I love you Aunt Claudette, Andie Services have been entrusted to Green Country Cremation Care Center of Oklahoma.
