Charlie Hayes died unexpectedly in OSU Medical Center on 02/20/2020 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 73. Charlie is survived by wife: Frances of the home; Children: Randy Hayes of Tulsa, Misty Aston of Silver City, Teresa Rife of Carthage, Missouri, and Traci Perrin of Silver City; Grandchildren: Tony Robinson, Bobby Baker, Matthew Aston, Charli Wright, Cole Perrin, Crystal Hayes. Eight great-grandchildren, Ezekiel Perrin of the home. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Georgia Hayes of Silver City; sister, Ellen Johnson of Silver City, grandson, Terry Baker of Pierce City, Missouri, and great-grandson, Cameron Baker of Purdy, Missouri. Charlie was born on December 16, 1946, in Yale, Oklahoma to Tom and Georgia Hayes. He was certified by the Coastguard in Louisiana and was Chief Engineer on many off-shore oil rigs. Charlie married Frances, his high school sweetheart in 1964. Over 6 years, the couple welcomed 4 children into their home. His children remember him as a stern, loving father who encouraged them to pursue their goals, to work hard, and to stand up for yourself. Charlie was accomplished at many things and often was found creating solutions to may problems.
