In Loving Memory: Beverly Ann Roden January 21, 1937 - August 31, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beverly Ann Roden, loving mother, sister, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on August 31, 2023, in Warr Acres, Oklahoma, at the age of 86. Beverly was born on January 21, 1937, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to her proud parents, Gerald Lionel and Jimmie Lee Adkins.

Beverly was a strong, proud, wonderful woman who said exactly what she thought and feared nothing. She was very proud of her achievements in her professional career as a civil servant at Tinker AFB. She retired after 20 years of service, proud to be able to support herself when life’s path led that way. She was fiercely devoted to her sister, Metta Bea Godman, who shared the lifelong, deep, loving bond of sisterhood. Beverly leaves behind a rich legacy through her children: her daughter, Brenda Ann Woodard and husband Woody; son, Scotty Lee Roden and Amber; daughters, Sheryl Lynn Rozier and husband Amos; Pattie Renee Melton; Lori Kay Gregory and husband Jonathan. She had nine grandchildren: Brenda’s children Chris, Tricia, and Chad; Scott’s daughter Darbi; Patti’s daughters Daicia and Brandi; and Lori’s children Dalton, Dylan and Dani. She had numerous great-grandchildren, as well. She loved her family unconditionally and did the best she could to be the best mother and grandmother she could be. She will be missed by her family and especially missed by those who spent the last months of her life with her, watching the horrible monster, Dementia, rob her of the woman she was so proud to be.

To celebrate Beverly’s life, a gathering of family and close friends will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at her daughter Brenda's home. This occasion will provide an opportunity for those who knew and loved Beverly to come together, share stories, and find solace in the cherished memories she leaves behind. If you desire to send flowers, please arrange to have them delivered to Brenda’s home before the memorial service. The family kindly requests that you leave words of comfort, special memories, and condolences on the online platform at www.oklahomacremationcenters.com.

Beverly’s memory will live on in our hearts, a testament to a life well-lived and a heart well-loved.
