Tommy Holliday

Tom Holliday, age 89 died Valentine's Day February 14, 2019 in Owasso, Oklahoma. He was born Christmas Day, December 25th, 1929 in Avant OK to Almeda Lucille and Thomas Elige Stephens. He moved to Ponca City at age 5 and attended Ponca City schools graduating in 1949. Upon graduation he was named as an All-State Basketball Player and received a scholarship to Tulsa University where he was a 4-year letterman on the Tulsa University Hurricane Basketball Team. After graduating college, he served 2 years in the US Army. Tom and Twanda Lou Rider were married at the First Baptist Church in Ponca City on August 28th, 1952 and daughters Sholly and Christie were born in 1955 and 1959 respectfully. Tom was a member of the Ponca City Board of Education, a 37- year employee of Nickles Machine Corporation and a 10- year employee of Snyder Electric Company. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, two daughters, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Offer CondolencePrint
