Shelby Lynn Hard

d. June 6, 2016

Shelby Lynn Hard, age 27, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at her home with family. Shelby is survived by her father Glenn Hard and mother Iva Hard, brothers Alexander and Benjamin, grandparents Ira and Dora Coombes and Richard and Patty Hard. (and her baby Mark “the monkey”) Shelby is a graduate of Broken Arrow High School. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow. She volunteered for TulsaArc as an OK-AIM monitor. She also held a membership to the Tulsa Zoo all of her life. For years she participated in Oklahoma Special Olympics. Shelby was very adventurous and loved to travel. Her favorite destination was Disney. Shelby loved to cruise the Caribbeans on the Disney Fantasy ship. She thought the crew of the Disney ship was her extended family and the ship her second home. She was always right at home whether it was DisneyLand or Walt Disney World. She loved the Art of Animation Hotel, Nemo and Little Mermaid were her favorite rooms. She had a unending love for animals. The Broken Arrow Safari, the Tulsa Zoo, San Diego Zoo, and all the zoos she visited around the country on her travels brought her unbounded joy. Nothing compared to the joy she received when her papa invested in goats, which she considered her pets/babies. Shelby loved all forms of art from museums to her own art creations. She loved music. She loved to sing, but her singing could best be described as a making a joyful noise to the Lord. Shelby loved the water. Whether it was boat riding, fishing, jet skiing or swimming. She loved to go shopping! Her monkey mark could never have enough outfits and she loved to shop for those she loved. She was very generous, kind, loving, giving, joyful, caring, vivacious, energetic and very unique individual who touched numerous lives with her infectious personality. She was one of a kind. Shelby never let her disabilities interfere with her dreams. Services will be at First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow, main sanctuary, on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 1PM. Offer CondolencePrint
