Sandra Jean Mcallister

Sandra Jean McAllister, 60, of Afton, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 at her residence with family by her side. Sandra was born in Oklahoma City, OK on September 5th, 1957, daughter of the late Lena M. (Housden) Stephens and Kenneth H. Stephens. She attended Bixby High School where she graduated in 1975. Upon graduation, she attended two years of college at Oklahoma State University with an emphasis in the dental hygiene program. In her early years, she enjoyed riding her horses and barrel racing, from which she was awarded many trophies, plaques, and ribbons. Sandi married her husband, Joe McAllister, on August 4th, 1980 in Bixby, OK. Sandi’s smile could light up a room, and she was loved by many. The past 20 years she enjoyed working as a bartender where she developed many great friendships. She leaves behind many lasting memories with her husband; Joe McAllister, children; Cari (Stephens) Ditty and husband Greg of Verdigris, OK, Amy (McAllister) Porter and husband Josh Porter of Moorcroft, WY, David McAllister and wife Maricella of Corpus Christie, TX, grandchildren; Payton, Danica, Jaxson, Ethan, Noah, Mason, Charlee and Arianah. A very special thanks to Compassus Hospice, her nurses Lisa Bailey and Lesa Landon, your love and compassion has truly been appreciated! Virginia Gibson, Christie Coleman Livingston, Debi Holcomb White, Jimmy Davis, Vonnie Taylor, Geneva Louise Smoke and everyone else who showed their love to our sweet momma in her time of need, we can not thank you all enough for what you did.
