Diane Elaine Rozell unexpectedly danced out of our lives and into her heavenly home on July 3, 2021 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 87. Diane is survived by children, Bob Dunlap of Glenpool, OK., Brenny Dunlap of Catoosa, OK., DeAnn Rogers of Tulsa, OK., Gwen G. Rozell O'Hanlon of Lecce, Italy, Alana Angle of Tulsa, OK., and Garland Rozell, Jr of Tulsa, OK. Her grandchildren include Kimber Lee-Doubrava, Dustin Dunlap, Brenn Dunlap, Kenny Rogers, Will Rogers, Johnny Rogers, Finn O'Hanlon, Cheyenne Porcher, India O'Hanlon, Brittney Brower, Stephanie and Jeseka and 21 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with a close-knit group of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and William Makaula, husband, Garland Rozell, Sr., brother, Odes "Sonny" Makaula, sister, Oawetta Willams, Baby Dunlap, Baby Rozell and great-granddaughter, Faith Rogers. Born on the family farm in Collinsville, Oklahoma, her childhood years were spent in California but Hawaii had her heart. Proud of her Hawaiian and German heritage, she was happy to have been involved with both the Hawaiian and German Society. Always busy with a lifetime of service for others. You might have met her at A-Aaron & Rozell Plumbing, Oklahoma Hawaiian Registry Program for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Commissary at Tulsa Air National Guard Base or Camp Gruber in McAlester, Tulsa County OSU Extension Center, Gift Shop at the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks, as a volunteer driver to deliver Meals on Wheels in Sapulpa, or at the Tulsa VFW Auxiliary # 577. "Lady Diane" loved all things dance, Hula, country line dancing, clogging, folk and more. She shared her love of dance with others teaching various kinds of dance to many throughout the years. A Celebration of Life service is planned for Saturday, August 7th at 10:00 am, Freedom Church, 325 E Speer, Sapulpa, OK. Honoring her Hawaiian heritage, dress is casual, Hawaiian attire is appreciated. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the charity of your choice or "In Memory of Diane Rozell" to the Food Ministry at Freedom Church.
